John Morehouse presents four dynamic talks on how we can engage 
the learning of both Taoism and Buddhism into our lives as religious liberals.

 

These lectures center on the Eastern Teachings of Lao Tsu and the Buddha 

             If there is to be peace in the world,

            There must be peace in the nations.

            If there is to be peace in the nations,

            There must be peace in the cities

            If there is to be peace in the cities

            There must be peace between neighbors

            If there is to be peace between neighbors

            There must be peace in the home.

            If there is to be peace in the home

This dynamic lecture series will focus on the unique teachings of two of the worlds great religious leaders.  Rev. John Morehouse is one of Unitarian Universalism foremost speakers.  John has spent many years studying Eastern Religion both here and abroad and brings his depth of experience and learning to this important topic.  As a spiritual leader with experience in Asian practice he is imminently qualified to bring a sense of wonder and depth to any group setting.  John has lived in India and has traveled extensively and brings his rich knowledge to this timely subject.  For many years John has taught in community colleges and workshop settings across the country.

Session 3:  Peace in the home: Principles and practice of Taoism and Buddhism
